The apartment is quite good and equipped with most everything that we need, including internet connection. We will probably change apartments when the Powell's leave, since they have a better view and is better equipped. We rested and unpacked for a couple of hours and then went to the Powell's apartment for dinner. We then went to the airport to pick up Elder and Sister Dickson, who were just returning from Sierra Leone where the 3000th Stake was created. It was the first Stake in that country.
Monday and Tuesday have been spent trying to learn everything we must know before the Powells depart. This is not going to be an easy task!! Today I have been learning about mapping on google earth. All of the new stakes, ward divisions and new units must have their boundries mapped out and I have to do it. I also keep all of the directories of changes for Stake Presidents, Bishops, Branch Presidents and ect. for all the wards and stakes in our area. Kent is even more busy and has more to remember - it will be interesting to see what happens to us when the Powell's leave.
On Monday they also had a devotional - there are many employees that work in our office building, from Supplies, to Welfare, Construction, Legal and much more. The Employees put on the devotional and it was really good. Most of the people are natives and very young. The person who lead the singing was amazing, he put so much feeling into the song and they sang with such gusto it was fun just to watch him.
We have met several of the couples - they are all very nice, we had dinner with one couple tonight. They are from Hooper, Utah - Brother and Sister Haws, they are assistants to the auditor. They told us an amazing story of a guy they met on the street, who had a feeling that he should leave his office and go out on the street - he saw them passing out pamphlets and books of Mormon. He told him he had had a dream - They gave him information, he then came to church, wants to be baptized and has invited several of his friends to also come to church. They are having a hard time keeping up with the church in this area - it seems the people are very prepared.
The hour is late and I need some sleep. Love you All
